Jennifer Snyder
Jennifer Snyder's career began with internet startups in the 1990s in Seattle, and then moved to public relations for the Chicago high-end chef & restaurant scene. She lived in New York City continuing public relations work before settling in Montclair. A lifelong baker, Snyder began baking for friends and family and it quickly blossomed, leading to the opening of The Little Daisy Bake Shop in 2011. She had a mission to bake all from scratch (no boxes or mixes) and offer treats that tasted like they came straight out of mom's oven.
The first location, located at 626 Valley Road, was a kitchen space about as big as a closet. Snyder's small team served up nut and peanut-free desserts which quickly gained local attention and the title of Best Boutique Bakery in Essex County. After less than two years, Little Daisy moved a few doors down to a space more than 3x as big. Snyder's philosophy to use real ingredients and bake fresh continues to shine in their products and her continued success.
Snyder also believes strongly in giving back to the community. The Little Daisy has given to schools, churches, sports, arts and music programs, and many local nonprofit organizations. They have been the Official Bakery for the Montclair Film Festival for more than a decade.
Snyder's favorite Little Daisy menu items are crumb cake and chocolate chip cookies. She and her family live in Montclair with their two labradors Daisy & Wrigley.
